Manchester United enters a record deal
Sheffield United, the English Premier League contender, said it included the Norwegian midfielder Sander Berg of Genk, Belgium's champion for 4 and a half years, in a record deal for the club.
Sheffield has not released the financial details, but Sky Sports said it paid 22 million pounds to include the 21-year-old, who has played 20 games for his country.
"We followed him over a period of time and he is a player that we think can come and evolve, and we feel excited for agreeing to join us," Sheffield coach Chris Wilder told the club's official website.
Berg has participated in 98 games with Genk, has scored 6 goals, and has experience playing in the Champions League.
He may play for the first time in the Premier League tomorrow, Saturday, when Sheffield is a guest at Crystal Palace.
